Xanex and bullfights

Someone might have warned me to take some kind of relaxant prior to attending my first bullfight! Not so much the blood and killing but how hot the matadors are! Now I know why "all the ladies were wearing flowers in their hair" in my favorite children's book Ferdinand; you can throw flowers or other assorted items to the matador after a good fight and he kisses whatever you throw and tosses it back to you. But seriously, I now have an immense respect for the sport that is bullfighting. The French people are profoundly moved by both the bull and the matador and all of the participants which there are many. One of my friends sat in silence after it was over to pay respect. The town where the bull fight took place is Saintes De La Mer, (where I was told is the town that the Gypsy Kings came from) is a small village on the Mediterranean. Very pretty and full of great energy and music. What an experience -my first CORRIDA!!
Also if you watch the video you will hear the live flamenco band that played along to the bullfight. This was special for this occasion, The "Corrida Flamenca"
